+Upstate Family Health Care Inc. is seeking a Clinical Support Specialist to join their team.
+

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and complete registration using eClinicalWorks.
  • Verify insurance eligibility collect copays update demographic financial information.
  • Schedule appointments ensure correct visit type selection manage cancellations rescheduling walkins sliding fee scale processes utilize approved scripting patient communication policy enforcement room patients obtain vital signs document intake data accurately perform point-of-care testing prepare restock exam rooms provide basic triage escalate when necessary coordinate providers reduce patient bottlenecks improve throughput support follow-up communications participate quality improvement vaccination workflows supply management attend meetings mandated continuing education training programs comply regulatory safety policies establish positive work environment foster communication supervisors employees participate team activities meetings trainings committees other duties assigned high school diploma ged required certified medical assistant cma minimum two years ma experience primary care acute care setting current bls certification minimum one year clinical experience outpatient primary care setting proficiency electronic medical records preferred prior experience patient registration insurance verification preferred bilingual skills preferred intermediate pc skills excel powerpoint word outlook sharepoint ability act calmly effectively emergency situation flexibility respond changing demands exceptional communication interpersonal skills core values consistent with patient family-centered approach professional effective tactful written verbal nonverbal positive attitude respectful customer service acknowledges confidentiality issues maintains confidentiality times follows hipaa guidelines regulations acts advocate responds empathy respect resolve concerns commitment equitable culturally sensitive care continues educate self providing quality improving professional expertise shares knowledge best practices supports mission objectives displays flexibility openness daily encourages others change improvement adapts behaviors coworkers situations accumulates relevant decision making presents alternatives recommendations multitasks manages time complies assurance osha infection control safety policies maintain workplace remove hazards take precautions avoid injury perform repetitive tasks.+
