    **Join Our Dynamic Team as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Inpatient Rehab**

    **Job Description:**

    - **Position Type:** Full-Time, Day Shift (07:00 - 15:00)
    - **Years of Experience:** 1 year(s) – Ideal for first-time job seekers
    - **Charting System:** Experience with any charting system required
    - **Certifications:**
    - BLS preferred
    - Certificate of Clinical Competence required

    - **Work Setting:**
    - Acute Care
    - Adult patients

    - **Key Skills:** (Preferred)
    - Dysphagia management
    - Adaptive equipment utilization
    - Communication board proficiency
    - Augmentative and alternative communication devices
    - Memory aide implementation
    - Bedside swallow evaluation
    - Conducting modified barium swallow studies
    - Use of Passy Muir valves
    - Experience with trach/vent patients

    - **Other Professional Skills & Knowledge:**
    - Patient and family education
    - Voice and resonance therapy
    - Acoustic analysis
    - Nasoendoscopy
    - Videostroboscopy
    - Voice prosthesis

    - **Evaluation Tools:**
    - ALPS (Aphasia Language Performance Scale)
    - BIMS (Brief Interview for Mental Status) – Knowledge/training for SNF required
    - BAE (Boston Aphasia Evaluation)
    - CADL (Communication Ability for Daily Living)
    - CELF (Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals)
    - CPS (Cognitive Performance Scale) – Knowledge/training for SNF required
    - Minnesota (Schuell)
    - NOMS (National Outcomes Measurement System)
    - PICA (Porch Index of Communication Ability)
    - Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale
    - WAB (Western Aphasia Battery)

    - **Responsibilities:**
    - Conduct assessments and evaluations
    - Document assessments and discharge processes
    - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
    - Float between units as needed
    - Work every 6th weekend (no on-call required)
