Quality Control Technician

To help us drive excellence, you'll get to:

Evaluates production set-ups to ensure that quality requirements are met.
Assists and trains production floor personnel in the use of statistical techniques.
Assists and trains production floor personnel in the use of gauges and fixtures.
Evaluates floor associate's documentation for compliance and reports findings.
Conducts audits of corrective actions.
Conducts LPA audits as assigned.
Conducts gauge and fixture studies as required.
Provides support in solving production floor issues.
Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
Ability to perform basic weld destructs and inspections.
Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).
Basic computer skills (data entry)
Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.

This full-time, hourly role is a part of our Belleville Plant 2 team and reports to the Quality Supervisor.
Required experience:
Customer specific requirements are defined by individual part / process requirements and are conveyed through Control Plans, Inspection Sheets, and individual Work Instructions.

· Microsoft Office at a beginning level
· Effective email and electronic communication skills are required.
· Ability to work with the following tools or machinery.
· Micrometers
· Calipers
· Scales
· Etc.
