    PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

    This role will be accountable for the end-to end oversight and evolution of Global Demand Management and Allocation operations for clinical and commercial cell therapy products and programs. The key responsibilities of this role include leading the demand management and allocation teams, evolving the collaboration and interfaces with key global partners, and transformation of the demand planning and allocation systems and processes. The team is accountable for administering the demand lock process and managing near-term demand to promote optimal utilization of our production facilities and ensure we are able to meet our business objectives and, most importantly, patient needs.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Accountable for Demand Management and Allocation processes to drive reliable supply for Global Cell Therapy Development and Operations (CTDO) network
      • Manage consolidation of commercial and clinical requirements
      • Facilitate SD&OP demand review process
      • Development of detailed weekly apheresis, M1, and M2 slot allocation plans
      • Dynamically managing available apheresis slots across the demand streams to maximize capacity
      • Oversight of demand lock processes
    • Drive strong collaboration between site supply chain and operations, patient scheduling teams to drive improvements in slot utilization to maximize patients treated.
    • Advance business processes, systems, and data to address increased complexity from network and product indication expansion
    • Establish advanced reporting and analytics to drive continuous improvement with respect to Demand and Allocation processes. Partner with Business Insights and Analytics (BIA) reporting team to build reporting and visualization capabilities to monitor and track system and team performance
    • Act as key stakeholder and contributor in development of user requirements and business case for evolution of allocation scheduling system
    • Develop the Best Team: lead, coach, and mentor a high performing supply chain organization that is adaptable to meet the dynamic needs of the future and integrated with the broader BMS Cell Therapy network
    • Implement training and development plans to build a robust and flexible team able to adapt to changes and evolution in the Cell Therapy business
    • Builds positive working relationships across the network, can effectively motivate and influence cross-functional teams, partners, and executive management to resolve issues

    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

    • Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain, Life Sciences, Engineering
    • 15 years' experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, ERP, digital/data technologies, quality, cell therapy or biopharma industry including
    • 10 years Supply Chain support and 5 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
    • Strong experience with supply chain systems, ERP, Advanced planning tools (Ex. SAP IBP, SAP S4 Hana). Proven experience with system implementations.
    • Ability to lead both direct reports and cross-functional teams; strong situational leadership skills, ability to lead staff at all levels of the organization. Ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff
    • Ability to distill complex information and tailor verbal and written communications in a concise, logical, and audience appropriate manner
    • Direct experience with sales and operations planning processes and materials requirements planning
    • Intermediate knowledge of cGMP/Pharmaceutical regulations
    • Capable of building alignment with business partners including Site Supply Chain, Patient Scheduling, Global Supply Planning, global Demand Planning, BIA teams, and Commercial and Clinical teams
    • Strong business sense and proven ability to innovate and drive change and make decisions in an ambiguous environment
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to develop and maintain effective professional relations with colleagues at all levels across the organization
    • Capable of managing multiple priorities and meet closely spaced, ambitious timelines
    • Ability to lead strategic changes in the supply chain space with respect managing demand and allocation. Must be adaptable, resilient with a commitment to goals and a strong sense of collaboration
