    General Description:

    Under the direction of the Vice President of Engineering, responsible of all maintenance functions of physical plant, utilities and manufacturing equipment including aseptic filling and packaging. Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing up to 10 maintenance technicians. Supervise and plan for all maintenance, repairs, equipment upgrades, and projects performed over multiple shifts.

    Essential Functions:

    • Ensure equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity.
    • Develops downtime tracking programs and approves changes to maintenance methods and/or projects to reduce equipment downtime.
    • Deploy strategies in reliability that build maintenance and technician capabilities.
    • Utilize visual factory concepts to improve asset utilization and plant performance.
    • Ensure proper utilization of Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
    • Initiate and drive continuous improvement of planning and scheduling with the express focus of reducing reactive maintenance.
    • Develop and deploy 24/7 FMS alarm response and acknowledgement.
    • Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist the team in solving operational issues.
    • Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for hourly personnel.
    • Ensure all company and site Engineering policies and procedures are adhered to.
    • Ensure all work carried out and equipment installed is safe, effective, and compliant with industry standards.
    • Ensure all work undertaken is reflected accurately in up-to-date Engineering, project, and Maintenance files.
    • Report project status to the VP Engineering, project team members and project management personnel.
    • Manage and resolve technical issues or changes arising throughout the project life cycle while also ensuring the overall project objectives of scope, cost and schedule are adhered to.
    • Ensure all facilities, utilities and / or equipment are handed over effectively to end users.
    • Perform any other activities as directed by the VP Engineering. Leads consistently in productivity, quality and teamwork metrics.
    • Examines monthly expenses and approves monthly cost forecasts. Prepares annual expense budget for maintenance.
    • This role may require off-shift and weekend work.
    • Adheres to all applicable procedures, cGMPs, company policies and any other quality or regulatory requirements. (For example: OSHA, DEA, FDA, EMEA, ANVISA, HS&E, etc.)

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and manage site maintenance personnel up to 10 technicians.
    • In collaboration with Human Resources, oversees and directs all performance management, training, development, job descriptions, and safety procedures for all Maintenance personnel.

    Experience and Necessary Skills:

    • 8-10 years minimum experience in managing production and facilities maintenance for a cGMP FDA regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment; 2 or more years aseptic processing facility preferred.
    • Knowledge of cGMP guidelines/standards.
    • Bachelor's degree: technical degree preferred.
    • Advanced problem solving such as Six Sigma and Lean training, Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
    • Demonstrated written and oral communications skills including strong presentation skills.
    • Strong results orientation.
    • Excellent matrix management skills and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Project, Outlook, Excel, and Word
    • Good understanding of ladder logic and its underlying principles
    • Good Troubleshooting and Root cause analysis
    • Proficient in Blue Mountain BMRAM CMMS preferred.
    • General understanding of pharma automation preferred.

    Pay: $112,000 - $140,000 salary depending on experience
