- Provide strategic direction and leadership in all aspects of high school operations.
- Oversee the implementation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices aligned with state standards and best educational practices.
- Foster a positive school climate and culture that promotes academic excellence, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Lead and supervise all faculty and staff, providing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Manage school resources effectively, including budgeting, scheduling, and facilities.2.
- Ensure the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students are met through the implementation of research-based practices and interventions.
- Promote a safe and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to address student academic and behavioral concerns.
- Develop and implement programs to support student achievement, including enrichment activities, interventions, and college and career readiness initiatives.3.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and the broader community to foster a collaborative and supportive school culture.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding school policies, programs, and student progress.
- Engage community stakeholders in school improvement efforts and seek partnerships to enhance educational opportunities for students.
- Serve as a visible and accessible presence at school events, activities, and community meetings.4.
- Engage in ongoing professional learning and stay current with research, trends, and best practices in education.
- Model a commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth for faculty and staff.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and shared leadership among school staff.
- Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field.
- Valid Indiana Principal License.
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, with leadership experience preferred.
- Strong instructional leadership skills and knowledge of effective educational practices.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and community members.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.
- Experience with the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching (NIET) TAP System preferred.
