- Support development and review of the full range of documentation and products required by DoDI
- Assist with execution of the USAF Airworthiness process per MIL-HDBK-516 and the AF Life-Cycle Systems Engineering (LCSE) and Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) processes as prescribed by AFMCI
- Support implementation of Air Force Integrity Programs.
- Support requirements development, allocation, and verification.
- Support review and evaluation of weapon system design, analyses, and verification documentation and reports.
- Gather and develop technical and business data necessary to build and, as required, present program briefs.
- Analyze equipment and software performance deficiencies and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Support development of contract and documentation changes and updates.
- Design, develop, integrate and test Computer Systems & Software, to ensure adequate performance, safety, integrity, and airworthiness
- ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in engineering and 10 years of relevant DoD experience.
- Two (2) years must be in a special access DoD acquisition program as a sub-system lead engineer within a recognized ACAT I program.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant DoD Avionics experience (1 year must be within a recognized ACAT I, or equivalent, Special Access Program.)
- Software and computer system architectures
- Software and systems integration processes
- Fault tolerance, redundancy management, and high integrity design techniques
- Computer system hardware and software criticality identification
- Safety Critical Function (SCF) thread analysis
- Verification techniques for software, hardware and system integration, developing/maintaining System Integration Laboratory (SIL) facilities with high fidelity test capabilities to V&V software and hardware
- System integration verification coverage
- Operational Flight Program (OFP) build, load, and flight release process; and the functional compatibility of all software and hardware.
- Must obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications, and other standard (Customer specified) applications
