Are you ready to join a dynamic team at the forefront of identity software systems? The California Department of Justice is seeking a talented Software Engineer to contribute to our innovative identity management environment. This position offers the flexibility of telework up to 5 days a week, in accordance with our Statewide Telework Policy, with occasional office reporting as needed. Occasional travel may be required.

Position Overview: As a Software Engineer - Identity Management, you'll play a crucial role in the analysis, planning, designing, development, and maintenance of our department's identity software systems. Reporting to the Information Technology Manager I, you'll serve as the technical expert responsible for ensuring the security, performance, and overall support of our systems, operating 24/7 from our Hawkins Data Center.

Desirable Qualifications: We're looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

Knowledge and experience with robust, scalable, and secure solutions for identity and Access Management needs.
Technical expertise in leading Identity and Access Management projects.
Proficiency with Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
Experience with programming languages such as Java, Javascript, and others.
Familiarity with SQL and LDAP.
Experience with Sailpoint, PING, DUO, or PingMFA.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Eagerness to learn new concepts and technologies.

Any equivalent combination of experience and education.

This position is designated for telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California and will require reporting to headquarters or field offices and facilities to fulfill operational needs. While teleworking is a part of this position EXPECT TO WORK IN OFFICE more than half of your work hours.
