Are you an experienced inpatient and outpatient coder, passionate about providing accurate coding support in a hospital setting? Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital is looking for you We are currently recruiting for a full-time Medical Records Specialist - Coder position.

Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital (AGBH) is an 80-bed facility, serving the adolescent, adult, and detox/rehab population and is located in Orem, Utah.

Your position goals and objectives include:

Supporting the medical records department through a variety of clerical, technical and related support services.
Coding discharged patients' accounts.
Prepare the patient chart for discharge process and assemble components in the correct order.
Assigns and abstracts medical and consultant data.

Qualifications

Your qualifications and experience will include:

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED

Experience:
Two years of experience as a coder with Medical Records preferred

Licensure/Certification:
CPC (Certified Professional Coder), CCA (Certified Coding Associate), or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) REQUIRED. RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) or RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) preferred.

Other:
Must be at least 21 years of age or older and able to pass a background check and drug screen

Knowledge:
Health Information Management systems and operations. Computer literate; skill sets to work in a fast-paced environment.
