Description
Provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist. Responsible for collecting accurate home medications lists for all inpatients.Reports to:
System Director Pharmacy
Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
Drag Edit DeleteFills medication carts on a daily basis.
Drag Edit DeletePrepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
Drag Edit DeleteRepackages bulk medications.
Drag Edit DeleteCollects accurate home medications lists for all inpatientsDrag Edit DeleteDeliver medication to the proper patient care areas in an accurate and timely manner and within established guidelines.
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent - RequiredDrag Edit Delete
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Licenses:
Must be registered with the Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy, upon hire or within 90 days of employment in position per state guidelines or be actively enrolled in a College of Pharmacy.
Minimum Work Experience
Three years hospital or retail pharmacy experience - preferred.
