Position Details:

Contract Term: Full-time, School Year
Start Date: August 2024
End Date: May 2025

Key Responsibilities:

Assess students' skills to determine their needs and to develop appropriate occupational therapy treatment plans
Help children participate fully in school and social situations
Assist children with disabilities to develop necessary skills for everyday life
Adapt classroom environments to promote learning for all students
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to incorporate occupational therapy recommendations into daily routines and educational plans
Maintain comprehensive documentation of students' therapy, progress, and outcomes
Provide guidance and education to school staff and families to support the integration of occupational therapy strategies at school and at home

Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
Valid state OT license (or eligibility to obtain licensure before the start date)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
