- Repairs all manufacturing equipment where the problem becomes obvious using basic trouble shooting skills.
- Helps identify root cause of equipment issues.
- Promotes safety in the workplace by assuring all electrical and mechanical guards and other safety devices are working and in place.
- Promotes quality manufacturing by ensuring all quality testing and inspections are completed.
- Completes all assigned PM's, projects, and work orders in a timely manner based on priority.
- Actively participates in Hopkins Safety Programs, such as Safety and PIE Help Desks, Behavior Based Safety Audits, Safe Work Cards, and reports all near miss and first aid events.
- Promotes and maintains 6S principles throughout the facility.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year experience in maintenance in a manufacturing facility required.
- Welding experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude required.
- Knowledge in electrical, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and/or reading blueprints preferred.
- Certification on all Powered Industrial Equipment (PIE) from company will be required.
- Lock Out/Tag Out certification required.
- Strong reading, mathematical, and communication skills required.
