- Provide rounding coverage with 24-hour call.
- Attend high-risk deliveries, typically 2-3 per week.
- Manage a robust nursery, including 3-5 normal newborns and 1-3 high-risk newborns on average.
- Demonstrate strong delivery room skills, NRP certification, airway management, and the ability to perform emergency umbilical lines in L&D and the NICU.
- Stabilize cases for transport, considering potential weather delays and hospital proximity.
- Admit uncomplicated and stable pediatric patients, serving as the primary pediatrician available for consult.
- Manage common pediatric conditions such as dehydration, pneumonia, and asthma.
- Provide respiratory support, stabilize, and manage neonates for transport, including those with gestational ages down to 32 weeks, primarily transferring to Oakland and Santa Rosa.
