    Description
    Loureiro Engineering Associates is searching for an experienced CDL Driver for projects in the New England region.

    Qualifications
    • Ability to perform each essential duty safely and satisfactorily.
    • Ability to safely operate a Hooklift truck, Tri-axle dump truck, Mason dump truck with or without trailers, including 6 ton and 20 ton trailers.
    • Must pass a drug test and may be subject to random drug tests.
    • Must possess a valid CDL Class A, a clean MVR, and must pass a DOT physical
    • Knowledge of DOT and CDL regulations
    • Knowledge of operating, moving, loading, and unloading many different types of construction equipment
    • Experience safely securing many different types of construction equipment per DOT regulations.
    • Able to follow directions and work effectively alone and in a team environment.
    • Able to use GPS.
    • Able and willing to work with all necessary PPE all day.
    • Able and willing to work dayshift, with night or weekend hours occasionally.
    • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to read, interpret and analyze written and oral instructions or regulations.
    Responsibilities
    • Operate the truck safely and efficiently on public roadways and construction sites.
    • Deliver equipment, stone, asphalt, etc., to various job sites in CT and surrounding states.
    • Complete logbooks, driver inspection reports, and other reports as required by Loureiro, DOT and CDL regulations.
    • Keep truck clean inside and out and report any deficiency/issue immediately to supervisor.
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
    Physical Requirements
    • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing
    • Ability to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, or controls.
    • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
    • The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and other vehicles and equipment.
    • The noise level in some areas of the work environment may be loud but is typically moderate and hearing protection is supplied.
