    Job Description


    American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 20-week assignment at a Level I trauma acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification.

    Responsibilities

    • Acute care hospital setting within a large 640-bed facility
    • Radiology/CT department with 5 GE CT scanners
    • High-acuity, high-volume patient population in a fast-paced environment
    • Level I trauma center
    • No floating to other departments required
    • 12-hour night shifts with a 7:00 PM start time
    • Every 3rd weekend required; weekend nights are Friday and Saturday
    • No call or on-call requirements
    • No holiday coverage required
    • Epic EMR used
    • Perform routine and advanced CT scanning procedures across a high-volume trauma center
    • Expected to function independently with minimal orientation in a fast-paced environment
    • Orientation is approximately 1 week (12 hours)
    • Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility may be eligible for a local pay rate
    • No radius rule — local candidates are accepted
    • Facility is a drug-free campus; a negative drug screen for all panels is required
    • COVID vaccination is not required for this position
    • Solid-color scrubs or scrubs with some prints are acceptable; scrubs are not provided by the facility

    Requirements

    • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience
    • Level I trauma center experience required
    • Active ARRT and IEMA certifications required
    • BLS required
    • Active IL state license required, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated — license required if applicable
    • Experience operating GE CT scanners preferred
    • Proficiency with IV insertion required
    • Must be able to perform basic CT scanning independently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
    • Previous travel experience preferred
    • 2 references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
