- Work closely with the department heads to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
- Assist in preparing financial statements for all regular and annual meetings of the Board of Directors and Investment and Finance Committee
- Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements
- Prepare, compile, and file all reports, statements, statistics, and other data as required
- Input contributions and invoices into the accounting database.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
- Enter accounting related information into proprietary accounting software
- Assist the accounting team with annual audit report and tax returns as needed.
- Manage accounting books with efficiency and accuracy
- Organize and update financial records
- Perform monthly bank settlements and reoccuring account reconciliations
- Prepare documentation for external auditors
- Establish and/or maintain accounts with money managers.
- Produce semi-annual statements for donors.
- Assist in preparing financial statements for all regular and annual meetings of the Board of Directors and Investment and Finance Committee.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Staff Accountant: 0 - 2 years' experience in accounting
- Staff Accountant II: 3+ years' experience in accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of Debits & Credits
- Able to commute on-site 5x/week
- Staff Accountant: $50k-$65k depending on experience
- Staff Accountant II: $70k-$90k depending on experience
