Job DescriptionDescription:
This is an expanded warehouse start up crew - associates will start out at the LAB location and then will move over to the LPM location on July 1st. Associates will start out in receiving to learn multiple processes and will then move into picking/packing area. Receiving:- The only job someone could be doing outside of shipping (picking orders) is receiving. This is going to be inbound, and put aways.. that's it. They will be getting items and making sure the pick areas get replenished for the pickers - will operate dock stocker, cherry picker, and reach truck. Picking: Associates will be tasked with using RF gun technology to pick orders, pack orders, and prepare them for shipment. Employees are using Taylor Dunn stock chaser to drive around the DC to get to pick locations. On the back of the Taylor-Dunn they have a wagon they have a tote placed on that will house the items in the order. An order will come in and get kicked to the RF gun. The WH person will drive from location to location picking the order and placing it into the tote. Small items are housed in aisles that are walking only... so the person will park the TaylorDunn and walk the aisle with the RF gun to pick that order. Once an order in fully picked, the person will drive to the packing area, print the corresponding slip, seal the box, label it, and place on the conveyor to go to the place it needs to go.The job is very simple, but VERY fast paced, production/metric based, and repetitive. They'll be on equipment (or walking the aisles) all day picking order after order. They will never load or unload trucks, they will never pick large items or full pallets... they will only pick items to build orders that go to Subaru dealerships. A typical day starts with a team meeting at the board where the manager will assign a person to an area/department. Pick orders, be accurate, and be efficient.

MUST HAVE:-- HS Diploma or GED-- 2+ years in a fast-paced picking environment within the last couple of years. (not stationary packing boxes, Picking orders)-- Ability to lift 50lbs as needed-- Experience with RF Gun technology to locate orders, items, and quantity of item in a warehouse environment-- Experience on equipment (reach truck, forklift, taylordunn, EPJ) required UNLESS someone has fast paced walking pick experience. They will be trained on WH equipment, so have to be willing.-- Ability to MOVE. This job takes pace, and manual ability to bend, squat, walk, lift, and move.. all day every day. This is NOT a chill warehouse job where one is just standing in one place all day lifting a box.- Must be open to OT for a few months starting July 1st- Around 1 year tenure in work history
