    Accounting Intern - Summer (Full Time)
    Department: All Openings, Finance & Accounting

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as an Accounting Intern. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about pursuing a career in accounting or finance. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, have a strong numerical aptitude, and possess a keen interest in the intricacies of financial management and accounting practices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring they are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Support the accounts payable and receivable processes, helping to manage invoices, process payments, and track expenses.
    • Participate in month-end closing procedures, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and expense analysis.
    • Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline accounting processes and improve the efficiency of financial operations.
    • Engage in budgeting and forecasting exercises, providing analytical support
    • Participate in special projects, providing data analysis and report preparation support as needed.
    • Facilitate the digitization of financial records and the implementation of new accounting software or systems.
    Qualifications:
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Strong academic record and a foundational understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and an aptitude for learning new software.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and management.
    • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges, with a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities.
    Duration and Commitment:

    This is an internship for a period of 2-3 months. Candidates should be available to start work from June 1 and be able to commit to at least 20 hours per week.
