    Job DescriptionSummary/Objective:
    The Warehouse Receiving Lead is responsible for coordinating and leading the daily activities of the warehouse receiving department.

    Essential Functions:
    • Manage the daily operations of the receiving department, including the unloading, inspection, and storage of incoming goods.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to receiving, safety, and inventory control.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming shipments.
    • Develop and implement best practices for receiving and inventory management.
    • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, such as warehouse managers, inventory control, and purchasing teams, to resolve issues and optimize receiving processes.
    • Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of receiving personnel, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity and teamwork.
    • Maintain accurate records of incoming shipments, discrepancies, and other relevant data.
    • Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure products meet company standards.
    • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to resolve issues related to shipping, damaged goods, or incorrect orders.
    • Ensure a safe and clean working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
    Preferred Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Familiarity with RF scanners.
    • Computer and inventory experience.
    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Oversee a team of 4-6 employees.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Standing for prolonged periods of time.
    • Ability to make repetitive movements, including moving of the wrists/and or fingers, bending, or squatting.
    • Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds
    Work Environment:
    • This position is based in a high-activity warehouse with a moderate noise-level.
    Travel:
    • Minimal local travel for pickups and deliveries on occasion.

    Kinter is located on the outskirts of Waukegan, just minutes from Gurnee and Wadsworth. Office and warehouses are located off IL Route 41, which makes the commute easy from surrounding towns.
