The Congenital Catheterization Laboratory at UCLA is actively involved in multicenter clinical trials and has a translational research program dedicated to the development of new biodegradable stents.
The new faculty member will join the team as a junior interventional cardiologist working directly with the head of the cath lab to cover all the pediatric cases.
The new hire will be responsible for performing interventional and diagnostic catheterizations and encouraged to participate in clinical, bench or translational research.
A background in clinical research is valuable due to the center's involvement in research databases and studies.
Responsibilities include covering general pediatric cardiology inpatient, participating in the outpatient clinic, and potential work with the Pediatric Transplant/Cardiomyopathy program.
The UCLA Mattel Children's Heart Center serves a large population and performs a high volume of cardiac surgeries, catheterizations, and echocardiograms annually.
