    Description

    Job Title: Lead Teacher at Everstand

    Job Description:

    The Lead Teacher is responsible for the overall growth and development of children in their classroom, focusing on academic, social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical aspects. They work closely with parents/guardians to promote parent engagement and develop weekly lesson plans based on Creative Curriculum. The Lead Teacher ensures a safe and stimulating environment that supports children's learning and development.

    • Perform developmental assessments using ASQ's and Teaching Strategies Gold
    • Engage in meaningful interactions with children to facilitate learning
    • Write reports and maintain accurate records
    • Provide guidance to Assistant Teachers and Volunteers
    • Participate in professional meetings and development activities
    • Use positive guidance for children's behavior
    • Plan and conduct age-appropriate activities
    • Adhere to NAEYC best practices
    • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
    • Resolve conflicts promptly
    • Build trust and relationships with peers
    • Demonstrate curriculum knowledge and early childhood care principles
    • Understand cultural influences on children's behavior
    • Establish rapport with children and ensure their well-being
    • Work collaboratively with others

    Experience and Education Requirements:

    • Minimum 1 year experience in Early Childhood Education

    Required Education:

    • Associate degree in early childhood education or related field OR Associate degree with 24 semester credit hours in early childhood by December 2023

    Other Job Requirements:

    • CPR/First Aid certification (provided during orientation)
    • Child Protection Register Check
