    Position Summary

    A student-centered, community and technical college in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin, Nicolet College seeks a Manager of Instructional Resources. Under the guidance of the Learning & Teaching Center Director, this position plays a pivotal role in steering the direction of higher education toward a future where the integration of library resources, textbooks, and open education resources is seamless.

    This role is instrumental in creating an educational landscape where the wealth of knowledge available is not just accessible but tailored to enhance the pedagogical expertise of educators and step up the academic success of students.     Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    Instructional Resources Management

  • Lead collaborative efforts to ensure library digital and traditional resources, textbooks and open education resources are considered for adoption in coursework and programs.
  • Manage budget and resources for instructional resources, including annual subscriptions, lease/maintenance agreements, bookstore point of sale system and library systems.
  • Implement and configure user-facing tools, interfaces, and websites for digital repository in collaboration with the Instructional Resources Team.
  • Supervise the Instructional Resource team, including student workers.
  • Keep current on Open Education Resource trends and collaborate with the Manager of Open and Inclusive Academics to promote the development and adoption of open education resources.
  • Lead Librarian
  • Manage daily activities of the library, including reference, circulation, collection development, cataloging, interlibrary loan, technology checkout, and digital literacy instruction.
  • Coordinate information literacy program across campus, including identifying curricular research needs, proactively building relationships with faculty, and assessing student learning outcomes.
  • Collect and maintain records, monitor, analyze, and prepare statistical and analytical reports of library-related data for continuous improvement, inventory, program accreditations, and benchmarking.
  • Keep up with the latest technologies and library trends and be willing to learn and try new ideas.
  • Serve as the College copyright expert.
  • Bookstore Management
  • Provide administrative management in textbook and general merchandise sales.
  • Oversee inventory control and reporting.
  • Serve as backup for backend bookstore tasks such as daily credit card reports, receiving, opening, closing and additional tasks as needed.
  • Complete daily and monthly cash register reconciliation.


  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading projects, initiatives and or teams of people.
  • Two years of professional experience in a library.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in library science.
  • Two years of professional experience as a librarian in a college system.
  • Two years of supervisory experience. Demonstrated budget management.
  • Teaching experience.

  • Work in an office area as well as throughout the College. Sit at workstation for prolonged periods of time. Stand, bend, squat, lift up to ten pounds, and move intermittently during working hours.
  • The employee will frequently be required to walk, touch/handle/grasp (using hands and fingers) and reach with hands and arms.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to normal library and office conditions and usual office equipment such as telephone, personal computer, printers/copiers, reports, and files.
  • The employee will be required to talk, hear, and type/write.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, far, and field of vision.
  • The employee must demonstrate strong attention to detail and must be able to perform complex tasks without error.

    Compensation:
    The typical starting pay range for this position is $64,418- $79,790 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Includes a comprehensive benefits package.
