    _The Division of Hematology/Oncology at Phoenix Children's Hospital, seeks a full time, board-eligible/board certified pediatric hematologist/oncologist with an interest in benign hematology to join the existing division of 19 faculty, 7 fellows, and 11 advanced practice providers.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience and interest in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with benign hematology conditions.
    • Experience in research and programmatic development would be of interest as we seek to develop our programs within benign hematology.
    • Responsibilities include clinical care, teaching, and participation in clinical research.
    • The candidate will be an integral and interactive member of the Division of Hematology/Oncology/BMT in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders and participate in inpatient and outpatient management of hematology patients.

    Opportunity Highlights:
    Our Center is the major referral center in the Southwestern region with approximately 1500 new hematology patients per year.

    We currently have a large hematology patient population with close to 550 congenital bleeding disorder patients followed at our federally-funded Hemophilia Treatment Center, over 325 sickle cell/thalassemia patients, and close to 150 new thrombosis patients per year.


    We currently have multi-disciplinary clinics for hemophilia and other congenital bleeding disorders, immunohematology, neurovascular diseases, sickle cell/thalassemia, and other chronically transfused patients with various diagnoses including bone marrow failure and RBC enzyme deficiencies.

    The hematology team is a multidisciplinary team, committed to providing state-of-the-art care to the patients of the Southwest.

    We also have active clinical and laboratory research programs, and multiple open clinical trials.

    This is a growing population and we are looking for someone who desires to continue to expand and develop this program.
