    Job Description

    The Naval Reactors Facility is seeking an experienced Facilities Production Technologist to join our team.

    As a technologist you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating preventative and corrective maintenance within our facility's production processes to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity and correct priority order is achieved.

    You will work closely with various Department Supervisors to meet production targets and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.


    Key Responsibilities include:

    Coordinate scheduling meetings with various Operations & Maintenance Departments to develop comprehensive short range and weekly production schedules for the execution of Preventative and, Corrective maintenance, required training, etc.

    Optimizing schedule for resource utilization, resolving priority and resource conflicts.

    Collaborate with other departments to integrate all required support tasks, schedule, track, monitor timely and successful execution to completion.

    Monitor and adjust production schedules as needed to accommodate changes and minimize downtime.
    Ensure the timely delivery of products, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

    Analyze production data/metrics to identify effective execution of plans, areas for improvement and implement efficiency measures and mitigation strategies.

    Prepares reports and routinely updates various levels of management of areas of responsibility.
    Lead the development and maintenance of long-range and short-range plans to support the NRF mission.

    Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill


    High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; orAssociate's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical, engineering or science related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; orBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical, engineering or science related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

    Preferred Skills

    Proven experience in managing production, developing schedules or project management.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a high level of organization.

    Pay Range

    $76, $117,000.00 annually
    Salary information provided is a general guide line only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations

    The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.

    Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities:
    Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations.

    For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets.

    The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a national asset solely dedicated to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. We rely on the dedication and innovation of our nearly 8000 engineers, scientists, technicians, and support personnel.
