    Hours:
    full-time, (37.5 hours per week), must be flexible to work day, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts. 3 days per week, with 12.5-hour shifts.

    This position is currently offering a $10,000 hiring bonus, with $5,000 paid at 6 months with satisfactory job performance and the balance of $5,000 paid at 12 months with satisfactory job performance.

    This hiring bonus is limited to new hires only, or otherwise, individuals not having been employed with Horizon up to 1 year from the date the application is received.

    Resident in Counseling

    Master's degree from an accredited college/university in an applicable human services field and registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling for clinical supervision working toward licensure.

    Eligible to register as an LMHP-E with the VA Board of Counseling within three months of hire.
    LPC, LMFT, LCSW

    Master's degree from an accredited college/university in an applicable human services field and licensure in the State of Virginia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist.

    One year of program-specific work experience or relevant education, which indicates the individual possesses the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

    The Emergency Services Clinician / Licensed Mental Health Professional will respond to requests from Horizon and the community for crisis intervention services, including limited-term crisis stabilization, mobile crisis intervention, information and referral to community resources, and/or pre-admission screening for inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment.

    This position will also develop working relationships with area schools, social services, law enforcement and other community partners; After completion of training, employees performing emergency services duties receive a 10% pay differential above their base salary.

    Knowledge of community mental health and public health in order to provide advocacy. Knowledge of the principles, techniques, trends, and literature related to mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse. Ability to promote positive, collaborative, and professional working relations among co-workers and representatives in the community.

    Ability to work in and contribute to a collaborative team environment Willing and available to work modified schedules (weekends, holidays, etc.) May be called upon to travel to any Horizon worksite; Regular attendance at training and Horizon meetings may require travel to a variety of Horizon sites.
