Job summary

The Surgical Technologist assists the nursing staff in the operating room and provides documentation of educational classes and certification. They assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN and report to the Assistant Unit Director or Director of Surgical Services.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Standard Precautions and sterile technique.
  • Provides age-appropriate care within the scope of a Surgical Technician's duties.
  • Assists in assembling and setting up operating rooms with supplies, instruments, appliances, and equipment specified for surgical procedures.
