- Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and improve overall procurement efficiency.
- Identify, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers/vendors through market analysis and supplier evaluation, including RFQ/RFP development, bid analysis, and supplier contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and pricing agreements.
- Work with the purchasing team to maintain supplier relationships, including conducting supplier performance evaluations, addressing issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and maintain procurement metrics and internal KPIs to track performance, measure savings, and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with procurement policies and quality standards.
- Facilitate communication between engineering, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on sourcing decisions, technical requirements, and project priorities.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in strategic sourcing and supply chain management to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Engage suppliers early in the design phase to leverage their expertise, assess technical capabilities, and explore cost-effective alternatives that meet sourcing objectives for materials, components, and services
- Proven experience (7+ years) in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management roles, preferably in a similar industry or environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, finance, or related field or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research, supplier evaluations, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management principles.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers/vendors.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism in dealing with confidential information and business relationships.
