- Work within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans, reports and specifications for a multitude of land development projects
- Civil engineering for residential and commercial site design including grading and drainage design, utility design site, and roadway layout
- Preparation and/or reviewing design criteria, drawings and specifications
- Preparation of schematic design, design development, and construction contract documentation
- Assist in the preparation of permitting, design and construction documents
- Project task financial performance, and management of small or medium projects
- Attending meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues
- Technical and design report writing
- Working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in civil engineering
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of local and state regulations governing site design
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Experience with GIS Systems, MicroStation, AutoCAD and Civil3D preferred
- BS in Civil Engineering or related field of study required
- Masters degree a plus
- 3-5 years site/civil design engineering experience required
- 5-8 years of civil engineering experience preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required
- EIT expected (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in Hauppauge, NY is $75,000-107,000. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
