    Description
    Nemours Children's Health in Orlando is in search of a neonatal nurse practitioner or an experienced NICU physician assistant to join the APP team on a casual basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and providing care to patients in need of neonatal intensive care through collaborative consultation with team members, under the guidance of an attending neonatologist without direct attendance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Review and provide care for neonatal patients including temperature stabilization, hyperalimentation therapy, feeding management, and phototherapy.
    • Participate in daily rounds in the NICU.
    • Provide appropriate support to meet the emotional needs of families.
    • Collaborate with the attending physician, social worker, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members for follow-up care planning.
    • Engage in counseling and educating parents and family members.
    • Promote a culture of inquiry, identify nursing issues, and contribute to research projects.
    • Share nursing research findings and integrate them into patient care practices within the specialty area.

    Requirements:

    • Active Florida licensure.
    • American Heart Association BLS certification.
    • Preferred minimum of 2 years of neonatal experience.
