Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs all duties required to layout, fabricate, and install electrical wiring or coaxial cable. Cuts wires to length, strips insulation from wire ends, and insulates connections with plastic sleeves. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures.RESPONSIBILITIES /DUTIES: Possesses skills and abilities to perform the basic requirements of an electrician's trade with supervision or guidance. Expected to follow drawings, specifications, technical manuals, design notices, etc. Have an understanding in the use of basic tools of their trade associated with electrical installations of cable and mounting of equipment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School, GED, or Navy "C" School,
QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
U.S citizenship
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Capable of lifting and carrying components up to fifty pounds Willing to travel up to 60% of the time.
