- Accurately perform and record electrocardiograms, stress tests, and rhythm strips for use in the diagnosis of patient illness.
- Accurate skin prep and lead placement to hook up 24 hour Holter monitors.
- Instruct patient on what is to occur during various tests.
- Perform adequate skin preparation on patient and attach electrodes in appropriate areas. Obtain high quality tracings.
- Identify abnormalities and take appropriate action.
- Notify physicians or nursing staff of abnormal findings.
- Independently prioritize multiple demands/requests for testing,respond to trauma, codes, med alerts and stroke calls.
- Accurate transcription of physician interpretations for inclusion in patient records.
- Perform filing and charting of test results in an accurate and timely manner.
- Properly care for and clean equipment within the department.
- Maintain an adequate stock of supplies within the department.
- Interact with various departments, personnel, and physicians.
- Assist physicians with various procedures and projects.
- Identify, resolve, or report real or potential customer concerns.
- Participate in continuing education and inservice programs.
- Orient and train employees as assigned.
- Use courteous, positive, and effective verbal and non-verbal communication utilizing interpersonal skills and technology available.
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Responsibilities
Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact) The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages.
