- Offer engineering/technical expertise for a range of shipbuilding projects, including concept studies, feasibility studies, and preliminary design activities.
- Participate in contract design activities, detail design and construction activities, and conduct independent design reviews.
- Provide support for in-service ship design and engineering activities, ensuring the ships' continued efficiency and safety.
- Offer technical assistance during shipboard equipment installations and provide ongoing support as needed.
- Conduct special studies related to ships, boats, craft, and shipboard equipment, with a focus on improving performance and functionality.
- Collaborate on projects involving Combat Logistics Force (CLF), Special Mission Ships, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) assets, among others.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and optimize Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) systems, Command, Control, Communications, Computers & Intelligence (C4I) systems, and mission equipment.
- Perform detailed analysis and simulations to assess the structural integrity and performance of ship components and systems.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of DoD/DoN procedures and policies (DoD 5000 process) in compliance with industry regulations.
- Apply your expertise in Military Sealift Command procedures and processes to enhance project execution and delivery efficiency.
- Take part in the evaluation and improvement of shipbuilding processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and cost-effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in DoD/DoN program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management.
- Current and valid Secret Clearance verifiable in DISS/JPAS.
- Master's degree in engineering.
- Professional Engineer License.
- 5+ years of experience in DoD/DoN program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management.
