Your responsibilitiesWeld steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructionsWork includes set-up and laying out work using fixtures and positioning devicesOperate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the job's needsUtilize in-process measuring techniques including but not limited to weld gaugesInspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specificationsRead, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and/or work ordersWillingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned positionMaintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, etcDocuments actions by completing production and quality logsMay perform flame cutting or arc welding operations when requiredPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
