- Participate in the development, implementation, and updating of HR strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations and overall business objectives.
- Oversee employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and facilitate open enrollment processes.
- Lead in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HR Information System (HRIS) Paylocity.
- Support performance management processes, including goal-setting, feedback, and performance appraisal evaluations.
- Lead recruitment efforts, including coordinating with Practice Area Directors on workforce needs, posting job openings, conducting initial screenings, and coordinating interviews.
- Facilitate the on-boarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive integration into the organization.
- Identify training needs and assist in the coordination of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Provide occasional administrative support to corporate leadership team members.
- Assist with general office administration duties as needed.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum 8 years of experience in progressively responsible HR roles. Experience within a professional services environment or with an A/E industry company is a plus.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR or SPHR and SHRM-CP) preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate a well-rounded understanding of HR practices and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient in an HRIS platform and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
