    This is a remote position. Candidate must have the ability to travel to other EmergeOrtho locations throughout the state of North Carolina.

    The Application Analyst is responsible for supporting the clinical and operational applications used by the Providers and staff at EmergeOrtho. The Application Analyst works closely with the orthopedic team to understand their workflows, needs, and challenges, and provides solutions to optimize their use of technology. The Application Analyst also collaborates with other IT staff, vendors, and external partners to ensure the integration, functionality, security, and performance of the orthopedic applications. The preferred EMR for this position is AthenaOne, a secure and comprehensive cloud-based solution that integrates electronic health records (EHR), practice management, and patient engagement capabilities.

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, health informatics, or related field or 4 years equivalent experience as an Application Analyst in the Healthcare industry.
    • Minimum of two years of experience in supporting clinical or operational applications in a health care setting.
    • Experience in supporting orthopedic applications is preferred.
    • Knowledge of orthopedic workflows, terminology, standards, and regulations.
    • Proficiency in using AthenaOne EHR/PM system. Experience in using speech-to-text dictation and voice assistant features is a plus.
    • Ability to analyze complex problems, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing environments.
    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Analyze, design, configure, test, implement, and maintain the orthopedic applications, such as AthenaOne EHR/PM, digital imaging (DI), and patient portal systems.
    • Provide end-user training, support, and troubleshooting for the orthopedic applications, and escalate issues as needed.
    • Monitor and evaluate the orthopedic applications' performance, usability, and compliance, and recommend enhancements or modifications as needed.
    • Document and update the orthopedic applications' policies, procedures, workflows, and configurations.
    • Coordinate with other IT staff, vendors, and external partners to ensure the interoperability, security, and reliability of the orthopedic applications.
    • Participate in IT projects related to the orthopedic program, such as system upgrades, migrations, integrations, or conversions.
    • Stay abreast of the latest trends, developments, and best practices in orthopedic technology and inform the orthopedic team of any relevant changes or opportunities.

    • Frequent travel to other EmergeOrtho locations.
    • Read and respond to all work-related e-mails promptly.
    • Keep the Service Desk Support database and ticketing system updated daily.
    • Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality guidelines established by the practice.
    • Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions.
    • Maintains compliance with practice policies and procedures.
