Physician Assistant / APRN
Apollo Pain Management is seeking a Part Time (with potential to ramp up to Full Time) Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Candidate must have excellent bedside manner, time management skills, and work well with a team. This can is a Part Time position for 3 days per week. Practitioner will work under the supervision of an onsite physician conducting office visits in an outpatient clinical setting. This is a unique opportunity to learn all of the intricacies of interventional pain management, gain hands on experience directly treating patients in an outpatient clinical setting. The ideal candidate will manage all clinical activities of patient care including seeing follow up patients, perform basic injections and monitor pre and post procedure patients up through the discharge process.
Work Location: Main office in Sun City Center, FL ; Satellite office in Lakewood Ranch, FL
Job Type: Part-time (potential FT)
Pay range: $50-$60/hour based on experience
Expected hours: 3 days/week, 8am-5pm, No nights, No weekends
Healthcare setting/location: In person/medical office
Medical specialties: Interventional Pain Management
Responsibilities
· Assess, plan and provide direct patient care in a clinical setting
· Perform comprehensive examinations, compile and chart detail medical histories, including health history, and provide care to a specified patient population
· Work under the direct supervision of physician
· Diagnose pain conditions and identify appropriate modalities of interventional pain management methods to treat
· Notifies supervising physician regarding any unusual or unexpected events or problems requiring direct physician consultation
· Practice sounds safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods
· Supervises and/or coordinates the activities of patient care and support staff within the office
· Documents progress notes on patients' charts indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed; maintains other records as required
· Provides health education to patients and families
· Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops
· Assure compliance with all company plans, policies and procedures
Qualifications
· Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant or APRN program
· Proof of professional certification
· Currently licensed by the State of Florida
· Clinical experience in interventional pain management preferred, but not required. Will train.
