Job Summary
Responsible for assisting the Credentialing Coordinator as well as collecting, organizing, monitor and maintaining re-credentialing documentation for all practitioners reaching each 2-year medical staff membership deadline, ensuring timely review and approval of reappointment applications in accordance with TJC requirements. The job also has responsibilities related to Med Staff Quality.
Works with each medical staff member to ensure accuracy of all files, tracking the expiration of all licenses and certifications and processing related renewals in a timely manner.

Essential Functions
Medical Staff responsibilities
Collects, organizes, monitors and maintains re-credentialing documentation for all practitioners.Ensures timely review and approval of reappointment applications in accordance with TJC requirements.Works with each medical staff member to ensure accuracy of all files, tracking expirations of all licenses and certifications.
Quality responsibilities
1. Responsible for management of research protocols for FRMC, including application, review, approval and evaluation.
2. Manages hospital-related research matters involving the Principal Investigators, FRMC Research oversightbodies and FRMC's Institutional Review Board.
3. Directs all issues with compliance with applicable policies, laws and regulations as it relates to research performed at the hospital to the Research Coordinator
4. Assists with ensuring patient safety, rights and quality of care for hospital services rendered under research protocols
5. Assists with ensuring the proper billing, reporting and collection of revenues related to research protocols
6. Assists with tracking and trending of all research and EBM initiatives at FRMC
7 . Manages the review and processing of research study applications between various department heads and forwards all information to the Research Coordinator for follow up.
8. Maintains Med Staff Quality Files for all physicians and allied health professionals.
9. Demonstrates proficiency with PowerBI and CHOIS data bases
10. Creates Med Staff Qualify profiles and OPPE reports; organizes and files all pertinent reports.
11. Schedules, organizes and records minutes for MQM, Special Care, Patient Safety Clinical Quality Committee and Medical Staff meetings, including required correspondence and follow-up with Physicians.
12 Provides encounter reports from Cerner for proctoring, Specialty Board requirements and other requests.
13. Assists with departmental data collection and entry as assigned by Quality Director14. Assists with managing policies using PolicyStat.
