    SAIC is looking for a Field Service Technician in Albuquerque, NM to support the U.S
    Navy at the Kirtland Air Force Base


    NOTE:
    Some on the job training will take place at Cannon Air Force Base

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Interfaces with the customer to handle service inquiries and problems to include performing customer support activities involving the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
    • Conducts on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order
    Isolates equipment start-up malfunctions and takes corrective action.


    • May make technical presentations and has a strong knowledge of products
    Trains customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities.


    • Provides technical support for the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems in the areas of field service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and training support to the Air Force squadron at Kirtland AFB.
    • Provides on-site technical support for weapons and associated equipment used by the squadron.
    • Acts as the liaison between the squadron and the Small Arms Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN for any technical issues related to the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems
    Qualifications REQUIREMENTS


    • Associate's Degree and 3 years of related experience or High School Diploma and 5 years of related experience
    • 3 years of preventative and corrective maintenance experience
    • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance; Interim secret needed to start
    • Must be a U.S
    citizen


    • Must have public speaking skills and the ability to deliver presentations to groups
    • Must have experience with maintenance data collection systems
    • Must have the motivation and ability to research directives, regulations and policies to determine solutions to problems, issues and concerns
    • Must have a commitment to customer service and be proactive in implementing policy as well as identifying and solving problems
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and have the ability to learn company software

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must have dexterity in fingers in both hands
    • Ability to pick up and carry 70 lbs
    for a distance of 50 feet


    • Able to withstand exposure to temperature extremes in performance of duties D ESIRED
    • Air Force production and maintenance management experience SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline
