This job opportunity is for a Lead Pharmacy Technician located in the Newington Outpatient Pharmacy. As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in medication preparation, inventory management, and medication distribution. You will work closely with pharmacists, call centers, patients, and supervisory staff to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory management and medication distribution
- Prepare medications for outpatients with a focus on non-sterile product preparation
- Read and understand medication profiles, refill prescriptions, and track orders
Requirements:
Work Schedule:
Primarily Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm (schedule may vary based on facility needs)
Telework: This is not a virtual position

Preferred Experience: VA Outpatient Pharmacy experience
Physical Requirements:
- Requires continuous use of hands and fingers
- May involve light lifting, stooping, kneeling, sitting, walking, or standing for extended periods
- Must be able to operate automation and maintain normal hearing and vision ranges
Education:
