    About The Role:

    Help protect CrowdStrike and its customers from advanced threats by securing applications. CrowdStrike's Product Security team focuses on active threats to CrowdStrike's products. As an Application Security Engineer, you will analyze web applications, identify design and implementation flaws, assist in fixing defects, and contribute to shipping secure code. You will actively search for security defects, participate in fixing them, and engage in projects to strengthen internal systems against threats.


    What You'll Do:

    • Join engineering teams as a security expert, influencing product design and capabilities
    • Create and maintain threat models to drive security decisions
    • Review application source code for security defects and risks
    • Assist in securing applications throughout the Secure Development LifeCycle
    • Collaborate with developers to address defects and implement solutions
    • Build tools and automation for security tasks
    • Participate in bug bounty programs and enhance application security

    What You'll Need:

    Understanding of software development in Agile/DevOps environments, experience in threat modeling, code review, and knowledge of secure cloud-native app configuration. Proficiency with AppSec tools and penetration testing. Ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams.


    Bonus Points:

    • Self-motivated in identifying security issues and finding solutions
    • Experience in automation for application security tasks
    • Positive working relationship with product engineers
    • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and WebAssembly

    Education/Certifications:

    Technical security certifications or academic background are advantageous.
