    THE POSITION
    This Management Analyst recruitment is an Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) internal recruitment.

    The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) is currently recruiting to fill one (1) vacancy for the position of Management Analyst, in the Finance Department.

    This recruitment will be used to fill the current vacancy and establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.


    This Management Analyst role will be a project driven position actively involved in working with each section within our division.

    Ideally, projects will include but not limited to streamlining processes for technological workflow with the review of a new ERP system.


    DEFINITION


    Under direction, performs a variety of complex professional administrative and analytical work in support of department managerial functions; coordinates activities with other programs, sections, divisions, outside agencies, and the general public; ensures work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures; recommends action and participates in budget development and administration; provides technical and responsible assistance to the department direction and/or division managers; and performs related work as required.


    SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
    Receives direction from assigned management personnel. Exercises no direct supervision over staff.

    CLASS CHARACTERISTICS
    This is the fully qualified journey-level classification in the Management Analyst series.

    Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.

    This class is distinguished from the Senior Management Analyst in that the latter performs the most complex duties assigned to the department which may include, but are not limited to, budgetary, organizational, and policy-related accountabilities.

    A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:


    EDUCATION

    Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public or business administration, accounting, finance, information technology, economics, or a related field.


    EXPERIENCE

    :


    Three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional experience in administrative analytical work involving finance, contracts, compliance reporting, or other related functions.

    Conduct in-depth studies
    Communicate and collaborate with others effectively
    Identify alternative solutions and project consequences of proposed solutions

    Adhere to deadlines and exhibit superior time management skills

    Familiarity with public agency procurement processes and procedures.
    Experience developing formal written processes and procedures.
