Job summary
This is a full-time twelve-month position as Custodian I for Harford County Public Schools. The custodian will perform routine cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds and equipment.Responsibilities
Selects appropriate equipment and supplies; sweeps and cleans floors in shops classrooms offices corridors etc., collects disposes of trash scrap garbage unloads supplies delivers to proper storage areas moves furniture office equipment items supplies which necessitate lifting heavy bulky articles weighing up to 50 pounds maintains lavatories ensuring clean sanitary condition sweeps mops scrubs floors walls partitions cleans deodorizes wash basins lavatory equipment washes polishes desks chairs tables cabinets office classroom equipment assists cafeteria personnel by lifting cartons sacks food cafeteria supplies responds assists during emergency situations including inclement weather assignments vandalism emergency repairs performs other work-related duties assigned.Job description
