- Power module packaging and integration
- High density power converter design/prototyping, topology/loss analysis (including magnetic losses), thermal/EMI analysis
- EMI emission and filter design/modeling/integration, and active filtering
- Converter control/modeling, including and not limited to high-speed motor drive and grid-tied converters
- High voltage engineering and converter degradation/failure analysis
- Leading/supporting projects for high density power converter development
- High voltage WBG power module design and development
- EMI analysis and filtering solutions, and converter failure/degradation modeling.
- The postdoc is also expected to help in proposal development, group outreach, and student mentoring
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)
PhD degree (or foreign equivalent) in electrical engineering in hand by the start of the appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 or more years of research experience. Expertise in any of the following areas would be considered a plus:
Brief Description of Duties:
The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the Principal Investigator Dr Fang Luo in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering . The incumbent will conduct research within the predetermined research scope and methodology, conduct research in the field of power electronics.
Special Notes:
The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
