Job Requirements

• Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
  
• Certifications Requirements: BLS, ACLS, RI registry (such as CCI or ARRT with IR specialization) as applicable
  
• Experience Requirements: At least 1 year of radiologic or interventional radiology experience; previous travel experience preferred; permanent address must be 50 miles or more from the facility
  
• Other Requirements: Valid driver's license; ability to lift and move heavy equipment; excellent communication skills; ability to work well under pressure

Job Responsibilities

• Operate angiographic equipment competently to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures, including biopsies, drainage, vascular stenting, and embolization.
  
• Assist radiologists as a scrub technician during interventional and surgical procedures, ensuring precise and efficient workflow.
  
• Identify, process, and evaluate imaging to ensure high diagnostic quality; collaborate with clinical engineering to maintain optimal digital equipment performance.
  
• Support department staff with vascular and cerebral vascular interventions, both diagnostic and therapeutic, utilizing advanced IR techniques.
  
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies; monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures; document procedures accurately in EMR.
