- Teach first grade math, language arts, and social studies
- Prepare and collaborate with teammates to create daily lesson plans that are developmentally and academically appropriate
- Supervise and guide homeroom students
- Participate in curriculum development, grade-level activities, and schoolwide functions
- Collaborate with teaching partner to create and plan first grade projects and field trips
- Communicate regularly with parents
- Participate in admission observations on Saturdays in December and January Experience/Qualifications & Skills
- A Bachelor's degree is required, a Master's degree is preferred
- A minimum of five years teaching experience at the elementary level
- A deep understanding of child development and best practices in education
