- Attend C4I Participating Acquisition Resource Managers (PARMs) reviews and interface with multiple working groups.
- Review Combat Systems initial designs, developments, and analysis of new ships and/or ship systems.
- Travel underway for Acceptance Trials (AT) and Final Contract Trials (FCT), verifying combat systems and C4I tests coordination and test to meet the required specifications.
- Provide written reports with known C4I and combat system discrepancies and assist in coordinating the effort to resolve the issues.
- Assist with providing support, and analysis for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) Systems by assisting in the coordination of Combat Systems specific events and tests.
- Compile and analyze reports related to shipboard inspections, certifications, assessments, and sea trials.
- Provide support in Post Delivery Availabilities (PDA) and Post Sailaway Availabilities (PSA) conducting ship checks, verifying installations, and ensuring required installations being schedule.
- Participate in pre-trial briefings and interfaces with the crew and shipbuilder on C4I.
- Interface with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams to ensure necessary resources are available for implementing and sustaining ship C4I systems.
- Participate in Combat Systems and C4I technical, configuration management and logistics (Design Reviews, Technical Data Packages, Change Boards, AEGIS Topside Working Group, etc.) meetings.
- A current or active DoD Secret security clearance.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field. In lieu of a degree, must have 2 plus years of hands-on experience.
- Two to four years' experience.
- Experience developing formal presentations using MS Office products.
- The ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
- Experience serving aboard AEGIS combatants in a technical management role. Warfare centers, training centers, testing facilities, or MDA experience.
- Knowledge of the DDG 51 Shipbuilding Program.
- The ability to write clear and concise technical correspondence to document technical reviews, collating stakeholder comments, and providing technical recommendation.
