What You Will Do
To provide counseling and support services to patients and families. Lead and manage the social work department's operations.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree
5 Years of clinical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
2 Years of clinical experience in an inpatient setting.
California BBS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - CA Board of Behavioral Sciences -REQUIRED

Essential Functions
Achieves operational outcomesIdentifies and resolves operational issues, collaborates with other departments, and ensures staff prioritizes and solves daily operational challenges.
Assess the psychosocial needsCompletes assessments, identifies clinical issues and communicates with the care team.
CommunicationDocuments assessment findings promptly, consults with team members, and maintains accurate patient records.
Community resourceUtilizes hospital resources, makes referrals, and ensures smooth patient discharges.
Consultation and supportIntervenes in crises, educates staff, and coordinates critical incident debriefings.
Department outcomesParticipates in quality improvement activities, consults with colleagues, and ensures staff compliance with standards.
Human resource managementConducts performance reviews, ensures employee files are up to date, mentors staff, and oversees productivity.
Patient advocateEncourages patient and family involvement in decision-making, reports protective concerns, and maintains patient confidentiality.
Patient goals and interventionDevelops treatment goals, sets boundaries, and demonstrates cultural sensitivity.
Plan of careEvaluates patient responses, revises care plans, and ensures effective interventions.
