    Tryfacta is seeking a Pathologist Assistant (Travel) for our client in Carbondale, IL This is a 13- week contract assignment.

    Duration: 13 weeks (Possible extension)

    Work Schedule:
    Day Shift | Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00

    Pay Package:
    $65/hr $2600/wk. ($1360 W2 + $1240 Stipend)
    Position Summary

    The Pathologist Assistant supports the pathology department by assisting with the gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens, preparing tissues for laboratory testing, and documenting patient medical histories.

    This role works closely with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure accurate specimen processing and diagnostic support.
    Key Responsibilities


    • Assist pathologists with gross examination and dissection of surgical tissues
    • Prepare and submit specimens for histological and laboratory testing
    • Maintain proper specimen labeling, handling, and documentation
    • Summarize relevant patient medical histories for pathology review
    • Follow laboratory safety protocols and infection control standards
    • Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory staff, and clinical teams
    Minimum Requirements
    Education


    • Master's Degree in Health Science, Pathology, or related field
    Certification


    • ASCP Certification required
    Experience


    • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting
