    Description

    JR. Product Manager for Hanover, MA office. This individual will be responsible for providing sales support to our Product Managers and our network of Manufacturing Representatives (Reps). Additionally, this individual will learn all our product lines and be ready to step into the Product Manger role whenever an opportunity presents itself. This individual must be willing to take initiative and not be afraid to tackle unfamiliar tasks or adapt their role as required.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Sales Responsibilities.

    o Operate in a utility type sales role learning and supporting all product lines including aftermarket parts.

    o Be prepared to step into Product Manager role when opportunity presents itself.

    o Effectively communicate with customers as you assist Product Managers in their collecting of information related to each inquiry.

    o Promptly respond to customer and rep inquiries phone/email/mail as required.

    o Identify new customers and new markets who could benefit from the various Sturtevant product lines.

    o Craft personalized targeted outreach to connect with potential customers.

    o Work with customer to complete customer questionnaire and application information to distribute to Product Manager and Rep.

    o Enter all new leads and customer information into Salesforce database.

    o Provide quotations as required.

    o Set up, assist in running, and provide report on customer tests as required.

    o Take phone calls for new inquiries.

    o Follow-up with non-responsive leads/opportunities to gather completed RFIs, material MSDS for testing, or purchase updates.

    Provide Salesforce Support.

    o Maintain proficient working knowledge of Sturtevant customer management system (Salesforce).

    o Build and maintain marketing lists from records within Salesforce for the creation of email blasts and other marketing campaigns.

    o Participate in ongoing Salesforce training.

    Provide sales support to Manufacturer Reps.

    o Provide phone support to Reps and assist in routing inquiries to the appropriate Product Manager.

    o Assist Product Managers in responding to Rep inquiries and various requests.

    o Oversee and assemble new Rep Training Manual.

    o Coordinate new Rep training meetings including training agendas, travel, manuals, etc.

    Promotion.

    o Attend trade shows.

    o Research for new markets and applications.

    o Research for opportunities with new companies for proven successful applications.

    o Assist with training for representatives.

    o Write or contribute to technical articles and case studies.

    o Work with Marketing Manager to promote all product lines.

    Establish and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with team members, other

    Departments, and vendors to ensure effective communication.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelors degree in engineering preferred but not required.

    Experience working in a sales related role minimum 1-3 years preferred.

    Experience working with Salesforce/other CRM platform minimum 1 year preferred.

    Ability to learn a technical product line and affectively demonstrate adequate product knowledge.

    Ability to understand customer needs and pain points to offer best solution and product.

    Ability to understand complex value propositions and communicate that value to customer.

    Ability to work with sales team and marketing department to identify active markets and sales trends.

    Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
