    Job Title:
    Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Health Policy Nurse

    Overview:

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse with expertise in Health Policy Nursing to join our dynamic healthcare team.

    The ideal candidate will utilize their clinical background and understanding of health policies to advocate for improved healthcare practices, influence policy development, and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.


    Responsibilities:

    Policy Analysis and Development:

    • Research, analyze, and interpret healthcare policies, regulations, and legislation affecting patient care and healthcare delivery systems.
    • Assess the impact of existing and proposed policies on patient outcomes, healthcare facilities, and community health.

    Advocacy and Education:

    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advocate for policies that enhance patient care standards and promote positive health outcomes.
    • Educate healthcare professionals and staff on current health policies, ensuring compliance and understanding of relevant regulations.

    Quality Improvement:

    • Implement strategies to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies, fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement.
    • Develop and recommend changes to policies and procedures to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.

    Community Engagement:

    • Engage with community stakeholders, governmental bodies, and healthcare organizations to address healthcare disparities and promote public health initiatives.
    • Participate in forums, meetings, and committees to represent the organization's interests in health policy discussions.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of policy changes, updates, and their impact on healthcare delivery.
    • Generate comprehensive reports and presentations outlining policy recommendations and their potential effects.

    Qualifications:


    • Active LVN license and in-depth knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
    • Proven experience in healthcare policy analysis, development, or advocacy.
    • Understanding of local, state, and federal healthcare regulations and policies.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and within interdisciplinary teams.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
    • Additional certification or coursework in health policy, public health, or healthcare administration.
    • Prior experience in a policy-focused role within a healthcare setting.
